Perez v. Ford Motor Company, 
Monon Corp. and Black & Blue Trucking Co.

This was a products liability case against Ford and a truck manufacturer which allegedly designed its trailers in a defective fashion. The accident occurred when the trailers' mud flap bracket fell off of the chassis onto the roadway. Thereafter, the plaintiffs' vehicle hit the bracket which punctured a non-protected fuel tank, resulting in three deaths by incineration. The decedents' heirs received over $25,000,000.00.
