Rodriguez v. Chrysler Corp. and Stant Manufacturing Co.
This multiple fatality accident occurred when a Plymouth Valiant rolled over and caught fire. Plaintiffs' vehicle was rear ended by a drunk driver who had minimal insurance. Richard C. Bennett was able to prove that the fuel system in the Valiant was defective, resulting in a fire upon rollover which incinerated the occupants. Plaintiffs received an award from the defendants in excess of $10,000,000.00.
